Cool socks for hot feet – blue water inspiration

cool socks

Cool socks are a must have accessory. Shades of blue, sea scenes and ocean creatures all create a fresh ambiance evoking cool lagoon waters and refreshing mountain springs. Make a splash with ‘The Great Wave’ sock featured. Based on the famous wood-block print by the Japanese master, Hokusai, it is a striking image of turbulent waves with the iconic Mount Fuji in the background. Other sea and river themed Masterpiece socks include Monet’s ‘Houses of Parliament’ – a silhouette in beautiful blue shades flanked by the shimmering sunset lit River Thames, Renoir’s ‘Boating on the Seine’, another one of our cool socks in similar blue hues and there is also the popular ‘Birth of Venus’ based on that most wonderful renaissance painting by Botticelli.

A more humorous ocean inspired interpretation can be found on socks such as gents ‘great white shark’ and ‘shark attack’. There are also gents anchors, large and small… and for the foodies; ‘catch of the day’, featuring an attractive tuna pattern or ‘prawn cocktail’ in black and orange.

With more water creatures in mind and introducing brighter reds and orange, how about a shoal of goldfish, lobsters or coral reef party – all in women’s free-size. Cool socks from cooler seascapes include Grey Whale, Arctic Orca and a couple of penguin variations for good measure!

With so called ‘staycations’ and camping holidays the order of the day this summer for most of us, our little selection of landscape scenes seem quite fitting. ‘Alpine scene’ and ‘Field scene’ are fantasy vistas in vibrant fresh greens with touches of bright colour and interesting detail. ‘Beach scene’ celebrates sunset while’Mountain scene’ and ‘Camping scene’ suggest romantic nights under the stars.

Joe Cool draws on nature for so much inspiration – throughout our range you can find design drawn from the natural world.
